The slaughter of the Salomon family

So now the non-stop Palestinian Arab incitement against Israel has resulted in yet more Palestinian barbarism. The Salomon family had gathered for a Friday night Shabbat dinner, celebrating the birth of a grandchild, in their home in the Israeli settlement of Halamish. A 19 year-old Palestinian burst in armed with a large knife and began stabbing members of the family. He killed the grandfather, Yosef Salomon, 70, his daughter Chaya Salomon, 46, and son Elad Salomon, 36. Yosef’s wife Tova, 68, was seriously wounded. The Times of Israel reports: “In…

More murder and incitement in the jihad against the Jews

As had been feared, today has seen violent demonstrations in Jerusalem and the disputed neighbouring territories as a result of Arab incitement over the metal detectors installed at Temple Mount a few days ago. At least two Arabs have been shot dead in as yet unclear circumstances and dozens have been injured, while hundreds of Arab rioters have been hurling rocks and burning tyres at Israeli police. Protests have also taken place across the Middle East. Israel erected the metal detectors after the terrorist attack a week ago when three…

The day of deranged inversion

Fatah, headed by Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas, has called for a “day of rage” tomorrow. This is ostensibly to protest against the metal detectors which the Israeli government has installed at Temple Mount in Jerusalem. That was in response to last Sunday’s attack there by two Israeli Arabs. Already armed, they burst from the compound and murdered two Israeli Druze police officers, leaving a third officer injured. Dozens have already been hurt overnight in violent demonstrations against the police in both the Temple Mount area and in east Jerusalem,…

Israel won! Now get over it

The Middle East Forum held a meeting in Jerusalem last night to discuss Daniel Pipes’s “Victory Caucus“, his project for breaking the Arab-Israel impasse. He urges that the conflict should be reframed as a war which Israel has won and the Arabs have lost rather than a never-ending impasse with demands upon Israel for negotiations, peace processes and compromises. I spoke briefly at this meeting. You can watch my comments on this clip from the Facebook Live video below. You can also watch the video of the whole meeting here. A…

Goodbye to the British Raj

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Israel is notable on several fronts. India, the potential global powerhouse now being courted by countries around the world, has moved from an anti-Israel position to a close alliance with Israel in the fields of industry, security, defence, energy, agriculture and medicine. As the first foreign leader not to visit the Palestinian Authority while in the region, Modi has struck a powerful blow against the morally degraded false equivalence that is the norm in the west between Israel and its Palestinian would-be…

Britain united against terrorism and hate? It’s a lie

As reported here, a study by the University of Oslo has found that most anti-Jewish violence in France, Sweden, Germany and the UK is committed by Muslim extremists. This is all the more striking considering that Muslims currently make up only relatively small proportions of the populations of these countries. Scarcely less notable (though no surprise to some of us) is that left-wing violence was the next largest category of anti-Jewish attacks, with right-wing violence trailing into insignificance. Only in Germany were right-wing attacks more numerous than left-wing ones, and…
