Welcome to all those who have been used to reading my blog on the Spectator site. From now on, the blog will be housed on this website, which I hope will expand and develop over the coming months.

I’m afraid, though, that I cannot accommodate readers’ comments since I do not have the resources to monitor them to ensure that they comply with the law. However, I hope to introduce the occasional postbag page, on which I will post up (with consent) selected readers’ comments sent to me by email.

I hope you enjoy my blog in its new home.
